Tellico Lake
VONORE — The body of a Maryville woman who fell off the back of a boat in Tellico Lake was recovered Monday night.

Stephanie Renee McDonald, 32, was aboard a 19-foot Mastercraft, along with five other people, when she tumbled into the water near Tellico Harbor Marina and didn’t resurface about 8 p.m. Saturday, said Monroe County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Thomas Goodman.

Her body was found about 8:15 p.m. Monday.

Search teams, including dive teams, rescue squads, sonar teams and a cadaver dog, had been used in the search, and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is investigating the incident.
